Past President Lee Levin is a historian, therefore she was the perfect person to direct the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Art Alliance. The Past Presidents Tea, held in the RAM atrium, was a wonderful affair, because Lee personally reached out to each president to encourage their attendance. At the tea, Lee addressed each Past President and asked them to talk about their year and its historical significance. Lee commissioned a 50th Anniversary lapel pin from artist Marty Tobias to commemorate the importance of the year, which she gave to our members at the Art Alliance Annual Dinner. I treasure this pin.

It’s About the Art. Lee was able to host with RAM the 50th anniversary of the Art Alliance. Digging through scrapbooks, laughing at the black and white photos of past Art Alliance events (we were pretty raucous back in the day!!) and then celebrating these people and their efforts in a glorious pop-up exhibit and celebration at RAM. Awareness of our heritage is always a true gift.
