Celebrating Art Space
As We Celebrate Our 45th Year!

Riverside will take on more of the look of a true “City of the Arts” when the UCR Culver Center of the Arts opens later this year next door to the UCR Photography Museum.  A major goal of the new ARTSblock Center is to nurture collaborative art experiences between the University and the Riverside community.  Plan to come to our March General Meeting to learn how UCR is going to expand their contribution to our downtown art activities.  This is a presentation you will not want to miss.

As the ARTSblock concept moves forward so do we.   This month the Nominating Committee will bring their slate for next year’s board to the General Meeting, ticket sales for our “Gardens of Historic Homes” will begin, we’ll hold our 2nd Annual Fun Bunco Night at RAM, and we’ll be looking for each of you to find a friend to join the Art Alliance to expand our membership for next year.

As you know, there is no better way to introduce prospective members to the Art Alliance than by inviting them to a General Meeting or bringing them as a guest to a purely fun activity such as our Bunco Night.  We need to let people see what we do, get to know who we are and learn how rewarding it is to be a part of the effort to support and expand art experiences in Riverside.

Tell your friends and co-workers about past projects such as the Giant Orange Adventure, Canstruction, Off the Wall, and the Banner ArtVenture.  Sell friends tickets to the “Gardens of Historic Homes Tour” which is going to be a truly fabulous event.  In other words, “toot our horn” and encourage everyone to get in on the fun!

So mark your calendars with the dates of this month’s activities and get into the full swing of events.  We’ve had a truly amazing year so far and the programs for March, April and May promise to be just as exceptional.
