“50’s Diner”

Our structure is a life-size cross-section of
a 50’s American diner counter. The structure features all the
items that appear on a typical 1950’s diner countertop. "A
classic diner is something we thought could convey the idea of
food at a very basic level," team member Shan MacNaughton
said. "I think that art is a very powerful medium for
expressing ideas and can be political as well. In a country as
wealthy as the United States of America, it’s appalling how
many people go hungry every day. Its projects like these that
help raise the awareness of the general public."
